In every direction, Fountain Inn is bursting with growth. Over the past few years, the charming streets of downtown Fountain Inn have been enlivened with the bustle of new construction and the retooling of some of the community's historic buildings. A boom of business, dining and culture in the heart of the city is driving many projects aimed at making the most of what Fountain Inn has to offer.
The most obvious additions to Fountain Inn's downtown attractions have been a result of the city's Depot Street Project. The newly constructed Historical Center, one of the cornerstones of the project, serves as home to the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce as well as the city's historical record keeping. Visitors to the center will find a mix of artifacts, replicas, antique furniture and interesting information regarding Fountain Inn's history and heritage. Staffed by an friendly crew of history lovers and Fountain Inn residents, the Historical Center is a gem in the crown of downtown.

Just a few steps away from the Historical Center is the Fountain Inn Pavillion, the site of a weekly farmer's market. Here, members of the community meet regularly to exchange produce and flowers grown in the area as well as other homespun crafts. The farmer's market contributes to the spirit of community that makes Fountain Inn such an exceptional city.

At the other end of Main Street is the Fountain Inn Center for Visual and Performing Arts. This historic building that used to be Fountain Inn High School now houses a 300+ seat venue that hosts musical and theatrical acts from both here in Fountain Inn and all around the world. Touring musical artists such as the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Quicksilver, Andy Cooney and Steep Canyon Rangers have all graced the stage of this versatile performance space. Also calling the center home is the Fountain Inn Repertory Experience (F.I.R.E), the city's own resident theatre company. Staging musicals and straight plays year-round, F.I.R.E consistently keeps the theater-goers of Greenville County coming back for more.
The Center for Visual and Performing Arts is also proud to be the home to the Fountain Inn Arts Academy. In classes and private lessons hosted at the academy, students can learn an instrument, take voice lessons, explore photography, hone their painting and drawing skills and experience the thrill of live theater. Each season, the Fountain Inn Arts Academy has a host of new offerings. Just another way that Fountain Inn shows itself to be a community filled with endless possibility.
